1. Who is the data controller
Pythowner LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with a mailing address at 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach our privacy contact at developer@pythowner.com.
2. Scope
This policy applies to pythowner.com and the SaaS products operated by Pythowner LLC, including Reportly (reportly.pythowner.com) and forthcoming products. Specific Services may publish supplemental privacy notices covering features unique to them; in case of a conflict, the supplemental notice controls for that Service.
3. What we collect
- Account data: name, email address, password hash, workspace/organization name, and similar information you provide when signing up.
- Billing data: the limited information returned to us by Stripe, such as your name, country, last four digits of your card, and transaction identifiers. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Service content: the content you upload, create, or generate through a Service (e.g. reports, documents, notes, attachments).
- Usage data: log data such as IP address, user agent, pages or features accessed, timestamps, and crash reports, collected for security and product analytics.
- Communications: messages you send us via email or forms, including the email address you use to reach out.
4. How we use personal data
- To create and maintain your account and authenticate you;
- To provide, secure, monitor, and improve the Services you use;
- To process payments and prevent fraud through Stripe;
- To send service-related and transactional emails;
- To respond to support requests and other communications you send us;
- To comply with legal obligations and to enforce our Terms of Service.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data on the legal bases of (a) performance of a contract, (b) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, (c) your consent where required (for example, for non-essential analytics), and (d) compliance with legal obligations.
6. Third-party services we use
We share personal data only with vendors we need to operate the Services, and only as much as they need. These currently include:
- Stripe, Inc. handles payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Vercel Inc. and other hosting providers handle application hosting and content delivery.
- Email and analytics providers handle transactional email, error reporting, and product analytics.
- AI providers. For Services that include AI features, we may send portions of your input to providers such as Anthropic or OpenAI to generate responses. We do not allow them to use your content to train their models where that option is available.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share personal data with advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (for login sessions and security) and, in some Services, optional analytics cookies. Where required, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
8. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations and to resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, export, delete, and restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email developer@pythowner.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
California residents may also have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information.
10. International transfers
Pythowner LLC is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We rely on recognized safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where required by law.
11. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, restricted access, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-product notice.
